This Sat. Sept 4, is the annual Smith Point Fish Fry to raise funds for the

volunteer fire dept. All birders in the area are encouraged to attend with

binoculars on. The fish is delicious, they also have an auction where you can

purchase some truly unique items.

If you would like to spend more than one day hawk watching at Smith Point you

will be happy to know that there are reasonably priced accommodations there

in a great birding location. There are also two restaurants. For more

Kyle and Pat Peace had a kind of slow day yesterday. The morning started with

North winds but they switched to the south early .
