Hazel Bazemore Hawk Watch, Fall 1999
Date:   10-22-99

Hi everyone,

Here's Joel's report (once again, sorry for abbreviated reports; I've been out of town this week and am catching up tonight with quickies. Will get back on the full reports this weekend):

--------------------

Yet another totally blue sky today, everyone's eyes are hurting and near
the limit of functioning at all. Fernando was frustrated at not finding
much of anything, lucky he is off the next two days. Turkey Vultures are
the easiest to find and we counted quite a few, but the high accipiters and
buteos were very difficult and we probably missed as many as we got.

13 Black Vulture
1123 Turkey Vulture
14 Northern Harrier
7 Sharp-shinned Hawk
9 Cooper's Hawk
1 Red-shouldered Hawk
5 Broad-winged Hawk
4 Swainson's Hawk
15 Red-tailed Hawk
4 American Kestrel
1 Peregrine Falcon
7 Crested Caracara
4 UA

4 UR

Total 1212
