Date:   09-10-99

Greetings all:

Here's today's news from the hill; what a day! Not so high in numbers, but a really good spread:

------------------

Patty,

Another good day with eleven species of raptor. Fulvous Whistling Duck, Nashville Warbler, and migrating Common Nighthawks were some of the good dickie birds. ST Kites just continue with three more today.

8 Osprey
3 Swallow-tailed Kite
75 Mississippi Kite
1 Northern Harrier
1 Sharp-shinned Hawk
1 Cooper's Hawk
68 Broad-winged Hawk
2 Swainson's Hawk
4 American Kestrel
1 Merlin
3 Peregrine Falcon
1 Unidentified Falcon
2 Unidentified Raptor

total 170

Joel

------------------

This is well beyond a record breaking season for swallow-tailed kites at Hazel; amazing!

Cheers,
Patty Beasley
Joel Simon
Fernando Ramos
and the rest of the HBHW cast and crew
