Date:   09-09-99

Greetings all:

Here's today's news from the hill; today's report is from Fernando:

------------------

Patty,

Many hawks today. Thanks to Chuck Brittain and Joyce Penny I don't think we miss so many. Good weather and pretty clouds make it easy. Other birds we see were Greater White-fronted Geese (44) and Eastern Kingbirds (24).

Blue-winged Teal are on the pond. We watch a Fuertes today, both sitting and flying, maybe still be here tomorrow.

8 Osprey
3 Swallow-tailed Kite
1224 Mississippi Kite
1 Northern Harrier- immature
2 Sharp-shinned Hawk
1 Cooper's Hawk
93 Broad-winged Hawk
3 Red-tailed Hawk
1 American Kestrel
1 Merlin
1 Peregrine Falcon
18 Unidentified Raptor

Total 1365

Fernando
