Hazel Bazemore Hawk Watch, Fall 1999

I knew it! I knew it! Just as soon as the swallow-tailed kite watch ended this weekend, with a zero tally for STKI's for us at Hazel, I KNEW we were going to get one the very next day! Murphy's Law will always prove out, <grin!>! Hey, that's okay; it may not count on the weekend, but it certainly counts for the season, for us and for the Texas Parks & Wildlife reports! Joel reports a good day today; pretty healthy count overall for only the third day of watch:

The big news of the day was...you guessed it, a STK, and no I didn't get to
see it. Found and seen only by Fernando. We also had a good kettle of
Mississippi Kites that totaled 110. Below are the numbers:
