Raptors observed August 30 at Smith Point:

Mississippi Kite 14 (age unknown)
Swallowtail Kite 1
Whitetailed Kite 1
Merlin 1
Unknown 1
 

Weather--thick haze greatly reduced sunlight.  Also high  cloud from 1000
to 1400 cst.  Cumulous, thunderstorms after 1400.  Light winds started
east, slowly moved to south.
