A very slow morning , like the sky was dead. We all ate our lunches
&
suddenly the birds were here, there, everywhere. Mixed kettles composed
mainly of Broad-wingeds & Mississippi Kites filled the sky directly
above
our tower , flying high, for the entire two hours between one and three
p.m. A few accipiters & Swallow-tailed Kites spiced up the mixture.
At
one point, a super flock of 275 plus Anhingas joined one of the raptor
groups. We had an exciting time counting, recounting, id'ing. Combined
with a lot of good company on the tower, we had a great hawk-watching
day. Here's to a wonderful weekend.......que corres como el viento,
Rebecca
