Hazel Bazemore Hawk Watch, Fall 1998

Report Date:  10/17/98

Well, you know it's a SLOW day when my hawk count on Mustang Island exceeds that of the Hazel Bazemore Hawk Watch, ha! Joel says they broke 30 today .... 30 mph winds, that is! That frontal system headed our way stalled 150 miles north of here, right on top of my parents home in San Antonio. Mom says she'd emptied the rain gauge twice by noon. Wonder if any will be left by the time it meanders our way ....
