Hazel Bazemore Hawk Watch, Fall 1998

Report Date:  10/15/98

Joel reports a slow day today, he called it a real waste of such beautiful clouds.  Blue Jays seen again today.  Also 80 Greater White-fronted Geese and 18 Northern Shovelers.

Looks like a pacific front headed our way, but our meteorologists can't make up their minds when it'll get here (IF it'll get here; sometimes the best intended fronts just poop right out before they reach us). That could concentrate things a bit just prior to its arrival, especially with the western drift of raptors still occurring overhead.
