Hazel Bazemore Hawk Watch, Fall 1998
Report Date: 10/12/98
Nice assortment of visitors on the hill today; Joel reports one couple from Washington state and another from California; also a couple from Austin that serve as park hosts for Bensen State Park from time to
time.
Best dickie birds were two Blue Jays and 120 Sandhill Cranes, second days for both species this season. Might get good numbers of blue jays this year, from the sound of the reports up north; we appear to be well in the flight path this season.
