Hazel Bazemore Hawk Watch, Fall 1998

Report Date:  09/15/98

A slower day than yesterday. By mid-afternoon rain to the north and northwest
of us put a stop to the hawks. At 2 pm. Joel and I were sitting watching the
rain all round us, when pow! we were getting wet. After a half hour of a light
shower, we picked up a few more broadwings for the day count.

On the drive home (both of our houses or less than mile as the crow flies from
the site) it started pouring cats and dogs.

If the weathermen are right, it looks like I'll be rained tomorrow. Only time
will tell.

Oh! First Caracara for the fall.
