Hazel Bazemore Hawk Watch, Fall 1998

Report Date:  09/12/98

Today (due to rain) we only manned the watch for 5 hours. Not many hawks were
seen today, but most that were seen, were low flying due to all the rain heavy
clouds. We had great views today.

A first for the watch today in the 9 years that I've been doing it was 4
magnificent frigatebirds. Also common nighthawks were moving in good numbers,
105 was my count.
If the rain lets up, tomorrow should be a good day on the hill.
