Report Date:  August 31, 1998

Glenn reports raptor numbers today were better, but the birds were high and
fast; no waiting around today. They must've seen that system souping up in
the Bay of Campeche.

Well, we close August slightly ahead of fall 1997's August numbers of 2,525
raptors. Not bad. We anticipate a good September, all other things being
equal.

Before we go to the numbers, a quick note about yesterday's post: I goofed
and somehow left the previous day's tally up, and then apparently added in
the big two for yesterday; sorry 'bout that. The archive pages have been
corrected.
