Report Date:  August 23, 1998

Greetings all,

Here's Joel's report from the hill:

----------------

Patty,

Today we had eleven observers and ten visitors to the site during the day.
Many more people than hawks.

Osprey 1
Broad-winged Hawk 1
Swainson's Hawk 2
Red-tailed Hawk 2
Total 6

There were 71 Wood Storks for the day, including four that flew over so low
that you could see every wrinkle in their head! Also, the two Western
Kingbirds were the first of the season for Hazel.

Joel
