NO, repeat, NO hawks recorded at watch today. Winds blew steady
20; gusted to 35; watch finally shut down at 3:30pm. Even the residents
stayed down.
Joel reports he'd just barely gotten to his house when his wife, Vicki, came in minutes behind him, looked out their plate glass back windows overlooking their feeding stations in the yard on the river bluff, and started shouting for him to come, quick! He ran over, and there, feeding at one of their hummer feeders, was a green-breasted mango, a fully grown adult female! The bird appeared four times before retiring somewhere in the yard for the night. See the Corpus Christi, Texas RBA for more info:
