Native American heritage program at Central Christian Academy,
Corpus Christi (Nov 2002)

Another educational program for National Native
American Heritage month. These education
programs are among our most enjoyable activities
in helping to preserve and pass along native heritage
information to the next generations.

Story telling is always one of the most popular parts
of any presentation!

Larry Running Turtle, Vicki, Meg Golden Arrow
and Steve Grey Wolf take turns talking to the kids.

November birthdays in the audience!
The drum sings "Happy Birthday" to them, Lakota style!

In between story telling and talking about artifacts,
we drum and sing our lessons.

Now it's time for questions and answers!

C'mon ... don't be shy!

Many area children have native blood in their family lines
and a growing number are becoming more aware of of it;
and asking questions of it to their family.
